Were looking for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team and help our K-4th grade students succeed in the approaching school year in Calhoun, GA.

Job Overview: As a Speech-Language Pathologist in this contracted role,you'll work with 1-3rdgraders to assess and treat speech and language disorders. Youll collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support our students' communication needs.

What Youll Do:

  • Assess and Treat: Conduct evaluations and create individualized treatment plans for students.
  • Direct Therapy: Provide direct therapy services, both one-on-one and in small groups.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents.
  • IEPs: Participate in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of student progress and regularly update parents and staff.
  • Meetings: Attend IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions.
  • Stay Updated: Keep current with best practices and new research in speech-language pathology.

What Were Looking For:

  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certification: CCC from ASHA.
  • Licensure: Georgia (GA) License in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience: Experience working with children, especially in a school setting.
  • Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with special education laws and IEP processes.

Nice to Have:

  • AAC Experience: Experience with augmentative and alternative communication.
  • Bilingual: Bilingual skills are a plus.
