Job DescriptionJob Description

 

Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform structural analysis / design in accordance with current Code requirements and accepted engineering standards using both manual and computer methods.

  • Preparation and review of structural plans, sections, details, elevations and edit specifications.

  • Ability to coordinate design and resolution of issues with Architects and other industry consultants through excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Professional representation at project meetings, pre-fabrication, pre-construction and construction meetings.

  • Perform all construction administration related tasks including addressing RFI’s, and site visits as required.

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS Accredited in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural is required.

  • FE Certification is required with a clearly defined path to registration. PE is preferred.

  • 3-5 years of experience, as an EIT under direct PE Supervision or Structural Engineer designing commercial buildings of various types.

  • Knowledge of Light Gauge Design

  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit Software

  • Excellent working knowledge of I.B.C., ASCE 7, ACI 318 and AISC

  • Knowledgeable insight of gravity and lateral load paths in commercial buildings
