Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Schools/Education

We are accepting applications for both full-time and part-time positions.

Pay up to $53/hour depending on experience.

Grades: Elementary School, Middle School, High School, and Non-Traditional locations.

What You'll Be Doing:

As our Speech Language Pathologist, you will:

  • Utilize standardized screening tests to identify students with potential speech and language disorders.
  • Develop an efficient referral system to address service requests from teachers, parents, and others.
  • Administer and analyze diagnostic assessments to pinpoint speech and language issues.
  • Follow state and district procedures to determine eligibility for speech and language therapy services.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams and conferences to support student development.
  • Develop individual education plans (IEPs) and recommend appropriate therapy services based on diagnostic information.
  • Provide tailored speech and language therapy services to meet students' unique needs.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the progress of students receiving therapy.
  • Recommend reevaluation procedures to determine the necessity of ongoing therapy.
  • Select and maintain necessary materials, equipment, and supplies for the therapy program.
  • Train school staff, parents, and the community about the goals of the speech and language therapy program.
  • Stay updated with continuing education to maintain professional skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and outside agencies for the benefit of students.
  • Direct speech-language assistants in delivering specified program services.
  • Maintain accurate and current records on students.
  • Adhere to all state and school board rules and regulations.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and proficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to good safety procedures and follow federal and state laws.

Requirements:

  • Hold a current, active professional license in speech-language pathology or audiology according to Florida law issued by the Department of Health from the State of Florida
  • Will accept a Clinical Fellowship (CF) ONLY if Supervision is available. CFs can apply.
  • Proficiency in necessary computer skills.
