Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Location: Norwalk, CT Area

Position Type: Full-Time

Soliant Schools is collaborating with the Norwalk School District to fill a crucial position for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in the Norwalk, CT area. As a BCBA, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and behavioral success of students in the district.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultation to classroom teachers, school administration, related service providers, and families.
  • Support students' skill acquisition by offering effective strategies to the educational team.
  • Participate in school-based crisis teams to assist students facing significant behavioral difficulties such as elopement and aggression.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
  • Experience working with high school and middle school populations.
  • Ability to manage caseload across two buildings.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families.

Caseload Information:

  • Primarily students on the Autism Spectrum (number of classrooms/students varies by school).
  • In addition to Autism Spectrum students, occasional consultation on IEPs for other special education and general education students.
