A Behavior Technician ABA has the unique opportunity to participate in the provision of behavior analytic services in clinic, home, and community settings under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst ® (BCBA®).

A Behavior Technician will be trained and developed to act as a vital member of the Behavior Analytic Services department in various capacities, including but not limited to assisting with assessments and providing clinic, home, and community-based behavior analytic interventions to children and their families.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or general equivalency
  • Must possess an AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card or be eligible for one
  • Must possess a valid AZ Driver’s License
  • Applicants with experience working in behavioral health, preferably with children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders or with a history of problem behavior, preferred.
  • Must meet Agency requirements for Behavioral Health Technician.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Essential Functions

1. Data Collection

a. Implement objective measurement procedures

b. Enter data, update, and create graphs

2. Assessment

a. Conduct preference assessments

b. Assist with individualized assessments

c. Assist with functional assessment procedures

3. Skill Acquisition

a. Implement behavior analytic interventions as prescribed by supervisor

b. Use contingencies of reinforcement

c. Assist with training of stakeholders

4. Behavior Reduction

a. Implement interventions based on antecedent modifications

b. Implement differential reinforcement procedures

c. Implement extinction procedures

d. Implement emergency procedures according to protocol

5. Documentation and Reporting

a. Report on variables that may impact client progress and assessment activities

b. Complete objective assessment notes and document services per company guidelines

c. Communicate effectively with supervisor and colleagues

d. Comply with legal, regulatory, and company reporting policies

6. Display Professional Conduct

a. Respond appropriately to feedback and maintain or improve performance accordingly

b. Communicate with stakeholders as authorized

c. Maintain professional boundaries

7. Attends meetings and trainings as required

a. Attends staff meetings as scheduled

b. Provides input at staff meetings

c. Informs supervisor about any questions or concerns

8. Assists in maintaining a professional, clean and welcoming environment in the office
