Job DescriptionJob Description

The Pipefitter Foreman is responsible to supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in fabricating, assembling, installing and maintaining piping, fixtures and equipment for gas, steam, chilled/hot water commercial systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Determine sequence of installations by reading plans and working drawings.
  • Supervise pipefitting crew in safe installation and assembly of all aspects of piping systems.
  • Perform field take-offs and jobsite material inventories.
  • Inspect work in progress and completed work to insure conformance to specifications and local
    codes.
  • Complete and maintain work site paperwork to include, but not limited to, time off request forms,
    accident reports, material requisitions, RFI’s, T & M tickets, daily logs, SDS sheets, log books, daily
    time card verification, weekly job site inspection forms.
  • Accountability for man hours and material costs.
  • Responsible for the developing accurate and competitive estimates to potential clients.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Skills of pre-task planning and scheduling of manpower and material.
  • 4 Years vocational preparation acquired in school, work, military, institutional, or vocational environment.
  • Minimum 5+ years experience supervising commercial pipefitting crews.
  • Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending,
    crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds repetitively.
  • Must be able to physically perform frequent ladder work.
  • Must adhere to all OSHA and Page Mechanical safety policies and procedures.
  • Skills of pre-task planning and scheduling of manpower and material.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local codes.
  • Certification in crane rigging and signaling.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Ability to write reports with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Team oriented with the ability to work well and communicate with others.
  • Demonstrate willingness to accept responsibility and leadership role.
  • Neat, professional appearance.
  • Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record; clean criminal background.

Compensation $34/hr - $40/hr

Company vehicle and fuel card, $50 cell allowance
