Overview:

LocalNews1.org is a growing online news outlet with multiple products serving Southeast Franklin County PA and Northeast Washington County, MD. The local news needs a strong presence in the community to keep individuals informed and up to date with the goings on around them. We are seeking a motived and experienced individual to help drive this presence

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a self-motivated editor to track, edit and produce local community news. Work will range from basic reporting to story publication.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be able to work content manager and reporters to write and edit stories.
  • Knowledge of, and consistent application of, AP style required.
  • Experience with Wordpress a plus.
  • Journalists and skilled writers with editing experience are encouraged to apply.

Pay based on experience and writing skill. Hours are flexible. All positions are work-from-home but must be based in/around Franklin County, PA or Washington County, MD.
