Job Title: Manual Machinist - Tool Room Specialist

They are currently seeking a highly skilled Manual Machinist with experience in tool room operations to join our team. This role is essential to our operations, as it involves producing high-precision components to exact specifications.

Job Description: We are in search of an experienced Manual Machinist who excels in tool room operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual machining, proficiency in working with various machining equipment, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and sketches with precision.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate manual machining equipment including lathes, drill presses, OD grinding machines, mill presses, and grinders
  • Produce precision components according to engineering drawings and sketches
  • Work with high precision and tolerance levels to ensure quality and accuracy of finished products
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software for tool design (programming skills not required)
  • Collaborate with the programming team to optimize machining processes
  • Maintain a clean and organized tool room environment
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards at all times

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must have own tool set to bring to work daily
  • 8+ years of machining experience (3-5+ years may be considered)
  • Proficiency in manual machining operations including milling, turning, grinding, and EDM
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for tool design is a plus
  • Experience working with lathe machines, drill presses, OD grinding machines, mill presses, and grinders
  • Familiarity with Haas Machining equipment preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and hand-drawn sketches
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high precision and tolerance levels
