THIS POSITION IS IN-HOUSE.

ICO Design Group is a boutique design firm and procurement house, specializing in commercial interior design consisting of retail, corporate offices and luxury residential apartments. We are located in the hip Garnerville Arts Center and in the Upper West Side. This position is for the Upper West Side, requiring a visit to the Garnerville headquarters once a week.

*** You will be trained in Garnerville for the first 2-3 months of the job (4 days a week in Garnerville, once a week in UWS) ***

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and a strong background in specifying building materials and bidding for construction projects. As a Procurement Specialist at ICO, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects by managing the procurement process from start to finish.

For the successful candidate there is room to grow into a procurement manager and more with salary commensurate with ability and success. We are looking for someone to make ICO their home and have long term success with us.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate pricing with vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions

  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships and communications

  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including budgets and timelines

  • Source project materials (i.e. flooring, wallpaper, glass, fixtures, tiles, architectural finishes, etc)

  • Collaborate with interior designers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications

Requirements

  • Proficient in Excel

  • Knowledge of Sketchup

  • Detail oriented with strong teamwork skills

  • Previous experience in specifying materials for projects

  • Previous experience in bids and estimates for construction projects
