Hiring for 2 positions
CNC OPERATOR AND CNC PLATE ROLLER OPERATOR

PAY $32- $35/hr

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following represents a list of essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned or re-assigned as the Manufacturing Facility expands.

• Set up, and operate CNC plate rolls and other metalworking equipment such as shears, saws, drills, or profile benders to cut, bend, roll or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products.
• Rolling of cones of multiple sizes.
• Check product quality for correct shapes, dimensions, and other specifications.
• Examines, Inspects, and Measures Raw Materials and Finished Products to Verify Conformance to Specifications.
• Sets Distance Points Between Rolls, Guides, Meters, and Stops, According to Specifications.

Troubleshoot and perform corrective action or minor repairs on non-conforming parts.

• Transport material to the work area manually or using an overhead crane or pallet jack.
• Using barcode scanners for logging and moving material from location to location.
• Provide timely information regarding problems in production that may adversely affect quality, or delivery time.
• Read and understand manufacturing drawings in order to set up machines properly for the operation.
• Remain constantly alert to detect improper part forming.
• Troubleshoot general material issues as they arise.
• Work as part of the team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards.
• Undertake continuous training and development.
• Perform routine maintenance on plate rolls and other machines.
• Troubleshoot problems with machines and remedy as they arise.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Works to meet set goals agreed with by Machining and Fabrication Supervisor.
• Other duties as set forth as set forth my the Machining and Fabrication Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday – Friday, 6am-2:30pm with a 30minute lunch (this is subject to change).

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

• Some experience with press brake machines.
• CNC Plate Roll experience
• 4 roll rolling machine experience
• Equipment Manufacturing background a plus
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
• Descent computer skills.
• Minimum 5 years working directly with plate rolling machines.
• CNC programming experience of any fabrication equipment.
• Overhead crane and rigging experience.
• Use of hand & power tools along with hydraulic equipment.
• A person should have experience in CNC Operations, be deadline-oriented, and be able to time manage with a sense of urgency.
• Min 5 years’ experience operating milling and turning w/ FANUC control.
• Proficiency with Okuma OSP.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

 

 

 

1. One of the two candidates must have MasterCAM milling experience. I would say 3 years minimum, 5 years preferred.
2. The candidate with MasterCAM milling experience must have minimum 3 years’ experience operating milling machines with FANUC control.
3. The candidate with the milling and MasterCAM must have at least 3 years of experience operating 4 axis mills and non-continuous 5 axis milling machines (3+2)
4. The candidate with the milling and MasterCAM must have experience performing part set up and clamping on the milling machines.
5. The candidate that does not have to have MasterCAM experience must have at least 5 years of experience operating Okuma lathes with OSP control. This candidate must also have a minimum of 3 years experience operating 3 axis lathes with FANUC control.
6. Both candidates should have experience using a Haimer or equivalent tool setter device.
7. It would be preferred if the milling candidate has experience milling stainless steel and clamping weldments.
8. It would be preferred if the lathe candidate has experience clamping and turning stainless steel weldments.
