Turbot is looking for a proactive, highly motivated, Cloud Platform Engineer. You will be responsible for working collaboratively with large enterprise customers to build cloud operations and security automation. The ideal candidate for this role knows their stuff; they have previously been responsible for implementing operations and security automation at scale for a large enterprise and are interested in leveraging that knowledge to create an even bigger impact across many organizations. Responsibilities

The role represents an opportunity to make a difference across not just our organization but with our customers as well. The role spans a wide variety of tasks each week and month, which are likely to include;

  • Build cloud scale automation: Use Turbot, Steampipe, Python and Terraform to automate cloud platform control objectives.
  • Product expert: You will deeply understand Turbot’s products and articulate complex cloud security and cloud management best practices to both technical and non-technical end-users.
  • Increase customer success with our products: You will be a friendly and clever leader directing global enterprise customers in best practices associated with managing hundreds of AWS, Azure, and GCP production cloud environments.
  • Improve code examples and documentation: You will develop and contribute technical examples and process documentation, help train and educate end-users, and optimize customer configurations based on best practices.
  • Learn from customers: You will have a deep understanding of enterprise customer needs with regard to managing cloud infrastructure at scale.
  • Elevate with colleagues: You will collaborate cross-functionally with the product team to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
Requirements
  • 7+ years in cloud platform engineering role; preferably in a large regulated IT organization.
  • 2+ years of direct experience in managing or building CSPM, Cloud Governance, Cloud Management, Cloud Security, Cloud Operations, or related cybersecurity tooling.
  • Deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience in AWS. Preferably have multi-cloud experience with Azure and/or GCP as well.
  • Deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience in cloud-native networking, identity, and security services.
  • Deep technical knowledge in IaC tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) with hands-on experience deploying large scale cloud platform architectures across multiple cloud service accounts.
  • Understanding of compliance and security control frameworks (e.g. CIS, NIST, HIPAA, PCI, etc.).
  • Deep technical knowledge authoring automation in a scripting language (e.g. JavaScript, Python, Shell).
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, developing, and evolving environment, with changing structures and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders across a global team, and a video-conferencing pro.
