Summary of Job’s Purpose:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Elixir Engineer to join our dynamic development team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that drive our innovative products and services. This position offers the opportunity for greenfield development to launch our business into its next chapter using technology purpose-built for high-traffic web services.

We are an expanding team with opportunities for professional growth and we work in a fully remote environment. We are looking for engineers to join our team who align with our framework and values, no matter your location. 

You will bring a deep understanding of our chosen stack and be an integral part of the engineering team while collaborating with wider stakeholders to ensure successful service delivery. The technologies that you will have knowledge of to be successful in this role include: 

  • Elixir

  • Postgres

  • Containers

  • Kubernetes

  • Terraform

What we are seeking:

  • Someone proven to be a responsible, reliable, professional team player who can thrive in a remote environment.

  • Experience building and maintaining high-concurrency, low-latency, high-availability web services.

  • An individual who has delivered valuable, maintainable, and highly reliable software.

  • An approach to software development that prioritizes clear code, tests, simplicity, and documentation.

  • Meaningful experience with and knowledge of functional programming.

  • Someone who can add useful insight in architecture discussions.

  • The ability to provide useful and constructive feedback in code reviews.

  • Someone who has successfully monitored, troubleshooted, and fixed production issues.

  • Knowledge of best practices regarding network security, ACID compliance, resource management and infrastructure scalability.

  • Whilst this position is remote, there is an expectation that you are able to join meetings between 11am and 12pm Eastern Time.

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other job-related qualifications.

We expect the base salary range for this role to be between: $120K - $200K depending on experience.
