Northvale is home to 5 people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The resident enjoy a variety of community activities, including going to the library and salon, watching movies, bowling, shopping, attending church and dances, and restaurants. When they’re not out in the community, Northvale residents like to have parties in house to have fun with their friends. The individuals we support require various levels of support. This includes the provision of direct counseling, cooking, upkeep of household chores, assistance and/or reminders of personal care, medical, dietary and other needs within the house and out in the community.
Founded in 1998, the National Institute for People with Disabilities of New Jersey (NIPD/NJ), a member of YAI Network, provides a variety of services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. By providing in-home respite, information and referral, camping and recreation, after-school, socialization, and vocational programs, NIPD/NJ also supports children and adults with disabilities who reside at home with their families.
Join our dynamic team as a residential Direct Support Professional in a program offering services to adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. You will work in a residential group home teaching life skills, providing individual and group counseling, recreation, and promoting community integration.
