Precision Grinder

We are in search of a skilled Precision Grinder to join our team. The Precision Grinder position requires a strong foundation in mechanical knowledge and manufacturing, along with proficiency in basic math and machining. You will be responsible for set up and operating CNC and Manual OD/ID grinding machines. As an OD/ID Machine Grinder, your role is critical in ensuring the precision and quality of metal components. With your expertise in grinding operations and commitment to safety, you contribute to the success of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup and Operation: Expertly set up and operate grinding machines to precision grind aerospace and other customer parts in strict adherence to blueprint specifications.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Follow blueprints, job orders, and verbal instructions with precision, ensuring product specifications such as finishes, dimensions, tolerances, and determining the proper methods of grinding components, holding fixtures, and grinding wheels to be used.
• Operational Oversight: Observe overall machine operations and perform routine daily maintenance on equipment and work areas to uphold consistent performance and cleanliness.
• Documentation Excellence: Complete production paperwork and adhere to inspection procedures diligently, ensuring accurate recording of processes and outcomes.
• Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain tools, gauges, and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner, demonstrating a commitment to workplace safety and efficiency.
• Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate a proactive willingness and capacity to learn additional skills, contributing to personal and professional development.
• Safety Protocols: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures to foster a secure working environment for oneself and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience as a Precision Grinder or in a similar capacity within a manufacturing setting, showcasing proficiency in ID/OD grinding techniques.
• CNC Grinding experience preferred
• Thorough comprehension of grinding principles, tooling, and machining processes.
• Proficiency in interpreting and comprehending engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Proficient utilization of precision measuring instruments for dimensional inspection and quality assurance.
• Strong aptitude for attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as necessary to meet production deadlines.
