Controller Opening

Well established, face paced Distribution company is looking for an experienced, hands-on, Controller to work with our executive team and staff to move our company to the next level. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience working as either a senior accountant / senior audit / accounting supervisor / audit supervisor or related role(s). The individual should have a good understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication, and written skills, and be able to multitask. Candidates must be able to solve problems and think outside of the box. Proficiency in computer programs a must SAP and proprietary software. This position is not remote, requires being in the office Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.

Qualified Candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accunting or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance / accounting / audit
  • Experience supervising / managing direct reports
  • Inventory Management / Costing
  • CPA is a plus

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Oversee accounting and work on all areas of operations.

Perform month-end closing of books including preparation of all journal entries.

Coordinate with Accountants on year-end financials

Perform all reporting requirements to banking institutions and taxing authorities.

Review all sales invoices and vendor invoices.

Maintain relationships with customers and vendors.

Prepare departmental budgets.

Maintain daily cash flow.
