Responsibilities:
As the shift lead your responsibilities will include:
  • Direct staff on duties based on ever changing needs of the store.
  • Professionally resolve customer concerns.
  • Supervise the productivity of the shift.
  • Responsible to maintain cleanliness of the store.
  • Ensuring proper rotation of supplies and materials.
  • Verifying expiration dates daily and removing expired items.
  • Checking supplies daily and restocking as needed.
  • Conduct weekly inventory.
  • Other duties as needed.
As a barista your duties will include:
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking their orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages.
  • Describes menu items to customers or suggests products that might appeal to them.
  • Upsell additional products or specials to increase sales.
  • Provides customers with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation descriptions as requested.
  • Cleans and sanitizes work areas, utensils, equipment and service and seating areas.
  • Checks temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Receives and processes customer payments.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with food preparation, such as sandwiches or pastries.
  • Stocks customer service stations with paper products or beverage preparation items.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications: 
  • Experience: One to two years of related experience
  • Food Handler Supervisor Certification or ability to obtain shortly after hiring
  • Familiarity with food safety guidelines and food hygiene standards
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Proficient in operating POS systems, such as Clover POS
  • Experience in cash handling and basic math skills
  • Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment
  • Strong sales skills to promote additional products or specials
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
