The person selected for this position will be responsible for the preparing meals and maintaining the kitchen. She/he is directly responsible for working closely with Nobis Preschool management to provide quality meals and cleanliness of the Nobis Preschool kitchen Monday through Friday approximately 7:30am-1:30pm.
Job Responsibilities
1. Always showing up to work on time and ready to prepare meals.
2. Assist in menu planning
3. Ensure that the meals are prepared on time according to the children’s meal schedule.
4. Acknowledgement of the allergy list and ensure children receive a substitution item, if needed.
5. Must keep up in the housekeeping in the kitchen. This includes but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, cleaning windows, dusting, disinfecting etc.
6. Must maintain inventory of all kitchen supplies including plates, bowls, cups, spoons etc.
7. Must maintain inventory of all food items and prepare shopping list every Thursday.
8. You must attend all staff meetings, parent meetings and other mandatory or required in-service days.
9. You must dress appropriately in accordance with Nobis’ established dress code policy.
10. You must maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to Nobis, its children, its parents and its staff at all time.
11. You are responsible for knowing all the policies of Nobis.
12. Report symptoms of contagious disease, unusual incidents and/or serious accidents and/or injuries to Director and/or Administrator as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Clear Background check through state and federal agencies.
- Training and coursework required by licensing for the position. (Will train on site)
- Obtain a current Health Screening, MMR & Whooping Cough (DTap) vaccinations, flu shot (or declination) and TB test.
