- Performed month-end reconciliations for various clients, ensuring accurate records and resolving discrepancies.
- Summarized client cash, documented payments, expenses, and scheduled payments.
- Managed invoicing and vendor payments, and cleaned up past-due invoices and bills.
- Updated transaction coding, completed reconciliations, and prepared month-end review documents.
- Ensured sufficient funds before processing payroll, processed payroll timely, and communicated details to clients.
- Reviewed and processed sales tax information according to state law and client agreements.
- Maintained organized financial records using accounting software.
- Created a 3rd party access guide, provided instructions for client access, and addressed ongoing issues in client documents.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of previous experience in accounting or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
- Detail and deadline-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
You will work with the firm’s Senior Accountants who provide accounting services to our clients located across the U.S. Our Bookkeeper/Accountant team members work in hybrid positions, both on-site as well as remotely. Our Bookkeeper/Accountant performs most of the transactional accounting work for our clients, to include processing Accounts Payable and Payroll, posting bank and credit card activity and reconciling those accounts in QuickBooks, creating invoices for clients, and other tasks that support the work of our Senior Accountants who manage our accounting client engagements.
The Bookkeeper/Accountant will be assigned a portfolio of clients with whom they will work.
Required On-Site Work Hours
Beyond the initial training, approximately 25% -35% of the time our Accountants are required to be on-site, which typically equates to two days per week during regular business hours (typically 8 am-5 pm). The remaining hours can be performed remotely.
