Job: On-Site Supervisor – United States Coast Guard (USCG) National Maritime Center (NMC)

Location: USCG NMC is located at 100 Forbes Drive, Martinsburg, WV 25404.

Contract: This work requires on-site performance and is not eligible for remote work or telework. (Martinsburg, WV)

Period of Performance:

This position is a one-year base/w additional four years options = 5-year contract

Start Date: May 23, 2024

Salary: $36.12 per hour

Additional:

Minimum of (3) three years experience in a supervisory role in a healthcare environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

On-Site Supervisor

The candidate shall be responsible for the following tasks:

screening merchant mariner applications for medical certificates; managing official merchant mariner medical records (electronic and paper-based); a variety of correspondence related to the screening and evaluation processes; record storage/upkeep and preparing mariner records for screening and evaluation; completing data entry related to the evaluation and credentialing process; and providing professional fitness for the certification decision.

• On-site supervisor shall be responsible for all contractor work performed under this contract.
• The on-site supervisor shall be a single point of contact for the contracting officer and the contracting officer’s representative (COR).
• The on-site supervisor shall be on-site and available during the core hours of 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM (0930 – 1430) Eastern Time.
• The on-site supervisor shall be one of the senior-level employees provided by the contractor for this work effort.
• During any absence of the on-site supervisor, only one alternate shall have full authority to act for the contractor on all matters relating to work performed under this contract.
• The on-site supervisor shall be available by phone or e-mail to the COR between the hours of 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST, Monday through Friday, and shall respond to a request for discussion or resolution of technical problems within two hours of notification.
• The on-site supervisor shall direct contractor employee participation in the development, maintenance, and administration of the application process.
• As active participants in the workflow process, contractor employees may recommend process improvements that will help improve accuracy and cycle time resulting in improved customer service.
• The on-site supervisor shall control business outcomes and requirements as they pertain to Contractor personnel.

 

Qualifications:

 

• Minimum of three years experience in a supervisory role in a healthcare environment.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• All contractor personnel must have a successful background National Agency Check with

Inquiries (NACI) screening before performing any work under this contract.

• The on-site supervisor and all designated alternates shall be able to read, write, speak, and

understand English.

• Licensure/Certifications are not required.
