We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter in Riverside, CA. The position requires you to have a valid California Fire Sprinkler Fitter card.

 

As a Fire Sprinkler Fitter, You will be responsible for cutting, threading, assembling, and bonding all pipes and tubes in fire sprinklers to ensure they pass every fire inspection. Many sprinkler fitters take on additional duties as pipe fitters and install and repair piping unrelated to fire protection. You must understand how to safely operate various tools, including cutting torches, drills, saws, and wrenches and be willing to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installing, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems, emergency exit lights, fire hydrants, and fire pumps as per National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and local codes.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing existing fire protection systems to identify and repair malfunctions.
  • Completing detailed inspections and documentation of all work performed.
  • Collaborating with fellow technicians and management to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Traveling to various customer locations within the assigned region.
  • Take on additional pipe fitter duties as necessary.

 

Fire Sprinkler Fitter qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
  • Must hold a valid California Fire Sprinkler Fitter card.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organized and meticulous with solid note-taking skills.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and working in confined spaces.
