Position Overview:

As a Superintendent at [Company Name], you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on multifamily construction sites. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your role will involve coordinating with subcontractors, managing site logistics, and maintaining effective communication with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Oversee all phases of multifamily construction projects, from site preparation and foundation work to final finishing. Ensure projects are completed according to architectural plans, specifications, and industry standards.

  • Site Management: Supervise on-site activities, including subcontractor work, materials handling, and equipment use. Address any issues that arise promptly to minimize disruptions and keep projects on schedule.

  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that all work meets or exceeds company and industry standards. Conduct regular inspections to monitor progress and verify workmanship.

  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe working environment.

  • Schedule and Budget Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and manage any financial variances.

  • Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project status, including progress reports, schedule changes, and potential issues.

  • Problem-Solving: Identify and address any problems or delays that arise during construction. Develop and implement solutions to keep projects on track and within budget.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, change orders, and inspection reports. Ensure all documentation is properly filed and readily accessible.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in multifamily or residential construction, with a proven track record of managing projects from start to finish.

  • Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification preferred. Additional certifications in construction management or safety are a plus.

  • Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Proficient in construction management software and tools. Knowledgeable in building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices.

  • Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project demands. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
