CAD Technician

Join Forefront Surveying and Engineering as a CAD Technician and embark on a fulfilling journey where your dedication and hard work will be valued. As part of our dynamic team, you'll collaborate closely with department supervisors and sales professionals to craft precise shop drawings for estimates, layouts, and construction projects. Your role will involve not only creating new drawings but also fine-tuning existing ones for ongoing projects. Through your expertise, you'll calculate take-offs from these drawings, facilitating accurate estimates and seamless product ordering.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate a deep understanding of residential foundation components, encompassing footings, walls, pads, rebar, fill, and frost protection.

Showcase proficiency in industry-standard software including AutoCAD, MS Office, and Adobe Reader/PDF Writer.

Produce drawings of varying sizes and complexities, covering a spectrum of concrete foundations and slabs.

Uphold strict quality standards in all CAD drawings, ensuring compliance with project requirements.

Skillfully redesign drawings in response to changes, markups, and specifications.

Translate hand-drawn sketches into precise CAD renderings, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.

Interpret and analyze blueprints, designs, and drawings with precision and accuracy.

Manage multiple projects concurrently, exhibiting excellent organizational skills.

Foster clear and professional communication with field representatives, account coordinators, and sales personnel.

Operate effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with or without direct supervision.

Adapt seamlessly to evolving project requirements and shifting deadlines.
