Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for working together with the branch manager and inside sales team to ensure the successful day-to-day operation of the Construction Supply Division. They accomplish this goal by developing strategies and objectives and leading their team of associates in executing the strategies and objectives. Warehouse Manager must have a comprehensive knowledge of construction supplies. Warehouse Manager must be able to use this knowledge to formulate goals and objectives and be capable of motivating themselves and others to work as a team and accomplish the day-to-day goals.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain accurate inventory on a continuous cycle, including physical inventory, inventory adjustments, reporting, and resolution of inventory control.
- Oversee and manage the warehouse operations, ensuring that orders are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor and improve production efficiency, identifying areas for optimization and implementing process improvements.
- Organize and oversee associate schedules and work of assigned staff.
- Train staff to ensure the accomplishment of department performance goals.
- General receiving and shipping duties.
- Investigating inventory shortages and discrepancies
- Work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the production process.
- Maintain warehouse housekeeping and product organization.
- All other duties/special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Maintain a valid California Driver’s License
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to identify processes needing improvement and to recommend improvements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Construction background preferred.
- Able to work in any weather climate.
- Able to lift and move material or equipment with assistance weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Availability to workdays, evenings, and weekend hours
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Can-do attitude and a team player.
- Detail-oriented and extremely accurate.
- Problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Distribution and inventory management knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and issues while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.
- Organized with attention to detail.
