Job DescriptionJob Description

A delivery company is seeking Class A CDL Driver/Yard Jockey to move trailers between pads, doors, and buildings, prepare trailers to be loaded, and shuttle trailers to off-site locations. In addition, you will safely operate a tractor trailer making local scheduled deliveries. You will work second shift between 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. with overtime available.

Job Duties:

  • Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck and assist with the loading and unloading of trailers
  • Properly track and document activity log
  • Move trailer around the yard, perform lot and door checks, report any issues or incidents to Management, and communicate with the Operations Manager
  • Handle pre and post trip inspections
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License; Hazmat endorsement is preferred by not required
  • Must have an active DOT Medical Card
  • Must be at least 22 years old
  • Must have the ability to handle physical workload
  • Must have a strong work ethic
