About Us:

Cora Science is a leading company specializing in the safety and compliance testing of food, botanicals, and dietary supplements. We are seeking a skilled Senior Microbiologist to join our dynamic team in contributing to vital testing and research initiatives. We are accepting applications for both part-time and full-time positions. Compensation is depended on experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct various laboratory tests and experiments following established procedures in food, botanical, and dietary supplement testing.

• Accurately record and analyze data, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are in optimal working condition.

• Prepares microbiological media, solutions, and reagents; oversees the microbiological laboratory testing. following strict safety protocols.

• Collaborate with other team members on research projects and testing methods.

• Assist in the development and validation of new testing procedures.

• Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced.

• Adhere to all laboratory safety guidelines and practices.

• Perform microbiological tests, sterilization and actively participate in support of customer process development and validation.

• Obtain and report microbial results to customers in a timely manner

• Troubleshoot all testing/sampling abnormalities to ensure proper results are reported; initiate proper guidelines for corrective/preventative action immediately

• Performs other related duties as required

• Laboratory cleaning and maintenance

• Perform routine equipment operation, calibration and maintenance

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, microbiology, chemistry, food science, or a related field preferred but not required.

• Proven experience as a laboratory technician or relevant position.

• Strong analytical and technical skills.

• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and automated laboratory systems.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Able to work overtime when needed
