AutoCAD Drafting Technician

Our Company manufactures aluminum safety railing and decorative railing for commercial and residential projects. We are currently seeking a Drafting Technician. The candidate will be a self-starter who can demonstrate knowledge in administrative support and focus on building sustainable relationships through quality customer service. The ideal candidate has proven customer service acumen and is focused towards achieving maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Produce neat and accurate permit, approval and erection drawings that adhere to the requirements of the purchase order.

·         Produce neat, accurate, easy-to-follow fabrication documents that follow the design calculations and are within the manufacturing limitations.

·         Communicate needs and difficulties to all members of the team to assure quick disposition of problems.

·         Continually improve productivity, accuracy and ability so that we may expand our area of expertise.

Qualifications:

·         Computer drafting experience in AutoCAD.

·         Able to read and understand blueprints.

·         Experience in Microsoft Excel and Access databases.

·         Customer service minded with the ability to talk technically with customers and engineers on projects.

·         A background in aluminum railing would be desirable.

·         Personable and works well with others. Must be team oriented.
