School Psychologist

Job Summary

The Natchitoches Parish School District (Natchitoches parish sd) is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to provide mental health services to students in grades K-12. This is a part-time or full-time position with a start date of August 5, 2024, and an end date of May 30, 2025.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group psychoeducational assessments to identify students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans (IIPs) to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Consult with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting students' success.
• Provide crisis intervention and support services to students experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties.
• Collaborate with school staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments and interventions.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in School Psychology or a related field
• Louisiana State Licensure as a School Psychologist
• Experience working with students in a school setting (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of child development and psychopathology
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional Information

• The work location is Natchitoches, LA.
• The caseload will focus on grades K-12, with the specific age range being open for discussion based on the candidate's preference.
• This is an on-site position.
