Overview: Green Bean Battery, a subsidiary of LKQ Corporation, is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will be based out of our Garner, NC office and will play a critical role in driving our HR initiatives, recruiting efforts, and general administrative functions to support our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HR management, recruitment, and employee relations. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Recruiting & Onboarding: 

·                     Design and implement comprehensive recruiting strategies. 

·                     Manage relationships with temp agencies. 

·                     Write and post job descriptions on career websites and university boards. 

·                     Source candidates using databases and social media platforms. 

·                     Evaluate and screen resumes and cover letters. 

·                     Conduct interviews via phone, Teams, and in-person. 

·                     Provide hiring managers with a shortlist of qualified candidates. 

·                     Prepare and conduct onboarding sessions, ensuring compliance with legislation. 

·                     Maintain detailed records of interviews and new hires. 

Training & Development: 

·                     Design and implement training programs for each department. 

·                     Manage, coordinate, and participate in 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day employee check-ins. 

·                     Oversee LKQYOU virtual training programs and ensure compliance. 

Employee Relations & Retention: 

·                     Responsible for retention, turnover, open requisitions, and employee survey scores. 

·                     Conduct benefits overview meetings and manage insurance and 401k enrollments. 

·                     Oversee general HR events and employee life cycle events. 

·                     Champion and enforce compliance with corporate people programs and initiatives. 

·                     Manage corrective actions and support the leadership team. 

Administrative & Compliance: 

·                     Regularly communicate with HR VP (Tyler Curran). 

·                     ADP recruitment management and offer letter preparation. 

·                     Ensure accurate Kronos oversight for payroll processing. 

·                     Oversee LKQ Handbook signatures and technician contract management. 

·                     Ensure job descriptions are regularly updated and compliant. 

Budget & Financial Oversight: 

·                     Manage labor dollar, job advertising, and headcount budgets. 

·                     Work with the accounts payable coordinator to ensure timely payment of bills and accurate monthly accounting reports. 

·                     Deposit checks into the bank as needed. 

Metrics & Reporting: 

·                     Track and report on retention, turnover, open requisitions, and other key HR metrics. 

·                     Manage merit raise planning sessions and retention bonus tracking. 

·                     Oversee LOA and overtime hours management. 

 

Qualifications: 

·                     Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 

·                     Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR management or a similar role. 

·                     Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance regulations. 

·                     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

·                     Proficient in using HR software such as ADP, Kronos, and other recruitment tools. 

·                     Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
