Our office is currently seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support an exceptional team with an active and expanding practice.  Our team works with nonprofits, for profit, Christian ministries, individuals, medical practices, and other organizations across the country specializing in constitutional law, religious liberty cases and various other legal practices.

This exciting role offers growth and learning opportunities for a motivated self-starter with extensive paralegal experience who is willing to assist their clients on a national level.  Our litigation teams supports both plaintiff and defendant, depending on the case.  In addition to litigation, our firm practices family law, real estate law, corporate formation, Wills & Trusts, guardian/probate, landlord/tenant, commercial, and more.

The Position

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a Paralegal Degree

·       3+ years litigation paralegal experience

·       Experience with preparing records, exhibits, pleadings, summarizing transcripts, medical record analysis, discovery and trial preparation when required

·       Drafting and responding to standard discovery

·       Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, Clio and document management

·       Attention to detail and organizational skills are critical

·       Clear and effective communication skills both orally and in writing as client communication is of upmost importance

·       Must be able to multitask and successfully manage a variety of demands daily

·       Must be able to work independently, be proactive and work with team members

Responsibilities

·       Prepare pleadings such as Motions, Notices, Orders, Judgments, etc., create communications with clients, opposing counsel, experts, etc., review and prepare exhibits, analyze medical records and trial preparation, prepare attorneys for deposition and hearings, calendar, etc.

·       Contact outside sources (governmental agencies, etc.) to obtain public information and review and analyze same

·       Search and retrieve information from court-related databases as well as other online sources of case information

·       Prepare summary of pertinent transcripts, records, etc.

·       Assemble chronologies of pertinent facts and key documents as needed

·       Review, analyze and organize document production from opposing parties

·       Determine, prepare and organize materials needed for expert witness review

·       Conduct investigative research on opposing parties and expert witnesses

·       Manage documents and organize case files
