Job DescriptionJob Description

Position Description
The CAD Technician - Production Technician is responsible for providing finished
data in a customer-specific format to Smartspace clients based on pre-existing
data and/or field captured survey data. The Production Technician is expected to
complete their work accurately and within department guided deadlines. This
position relies heavily on professional communication, both verbal and written,
and the ability to adapt to new processes and innovative solutions. Tasks can
include working on drawing files, producing data in spreadsheets, and reviewing
and editing photographs, along with other assigned tasks. The Production
Technician will report to the Production Supervisor, and on a higher level, the
Production Manager.

Job Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Review Process unrefined data and generate completed drawings and reports in specified formats that meet and exceed customer requirements for quality
  • Execute assigned tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Meet established performance goals based project-specific standards
  • Communicate effectively both verbal and written
  • Complete daily productivity logs

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of AutoCAD
  • Intermediate skill level and knowledge of MS Office Suite, Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Strong ability to identify anomalies/discrepancies within drawings and other data formats
  • Aptitude to understand and execute technical writing documents
  • Knowledge of retail environment is preferred
