Responsibilities:

Part of a team of Garage Mechanics that perform preventative maintenance repairs and inspections on fleet of trailers, yard tractors, and over-the-road tractors. Participate in maintaining repair records and parts inventory in Garage and document parts required.

Schedule: Mon - Fri 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

 

Qualifications:

  • Track record of work place safety.
  • Knowledge and skill set required to complete DOT inspections on trailers.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair ThermoKing refrigeration units on trailers.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues on transport equipment.
  • Ability to complete preventative maintenance on braking system and wheels.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance – changing oil, checking batteries, lubricating equipment.
  • Ability to drive a spotting tractor to move trailers between yard and garage.
  • Welding skills documented via certification or evidence of work experience.
  • Communication skills – verbal and written - required to interact with Garage Mechanics and management.
  • Work experience satisfactory to JFI hiring manager(s).
  • Technical training and certifications in areas of refrigeration, electrical, and welding.
