Scheduling Coordinator for Private Dental Practice

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSlater Family Dental is a thriving private dental office seeking a detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental terminology and administrative support, ensuring efficient scheduling operations within a dental environment.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and manage patient appointments for the Dentist and Hygiene. This would include scheduling/rescheduling with accuracy and efficiency. 

- Collaborate with dental staff to optimize appointment scheduling for patient care

- Confirm upcoming appointments.

- Utilize phone systems to schedule appointments , handle patient inquiries, retrieve messages with follow-up.

- Monitor messages from our online platform (Revenue Well) and respond accordingly.

- Answer incoming calls in a prompt and professional manner. 

- New patient intake process.

- Request temporary staff from Dental Staffing when needed.

- Maintain electronic scheduling systems, updating patient information as needed.

- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Requirements:

- Welcome patients and assist with check-in. 

- Experience in dental terminology and understanding of dental office procedures.

- Experience in administrative support, preferably in a dental office setting.
 
 - Familiarity with EagleSoft software and Revenue Well preferred. 

- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.

- Receive and forward x-rays to other dental offices.

- Assist in departure of patients/check-out.

- When necessary, create treatment plans and verify insurance estimates are correct. 

- Explanation of dental benefits to patients when necessary.

- Review patient accounts for collection at time of service. 

- When confirming appointments, let patient know to come prepared to make payment on any   outstanding balance or any treatment scheduled for the appointment. 

- Assist in making payment plans.

- Call in prescriptions as directed by Dentists.

- Confirm lab deliveries for upcoming appointments.

- Help ensure reception area is neat and tidy.

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality. 

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of services while utilizing your organizational skills and dental administrative knowledge.

Position is Full-time, Monday -Thursday, 7:30am to 5:00pm
