Job Summary

Job Description:

CBS Food Program is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team. The Accounting Assistant will work closely with the Staff Accountant to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Responsibilities:

Assist with accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
Assist with accounts payable, including processing invoices and issuing payments.
Perform data entry and filing of financial records.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Provide support to the accounting team as needed.

General Accountabilities

N/A

Job Qualifications

Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
1-2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a nonprofit setting
Experience using QuickBooks and other accounting software programs
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
