Job DescriptionJob Description

Small Hartford law firm has an opening for a full-time Litigation Secretary/Legal Assistant (onsite). The perfect candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, organized, strong attention to detail, ability to work both individually and with others and the ability to support multiple attorneys. Hours of operation are 8:30 to 5:00 with one hour for lunch.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Assist multiple attorneys with administrative tasks and client communication

2. Answer phones

3. Communicate with clients

4. Maintain calendars

5. Scheduling

6. Draft, revise, finalize and file legal documents with courts

7. Maintain case files

8. Billing

9. Arrange travel, process, track and report expenses

Preferred Qualifications:

At least 5 years of litigation secretarial experience

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)

Strong Interpersonal Skills

Bilingual - Strong Spanish reading, writing, speaking and understanding – A PLUS

Experience with E-billing - Legal Tracker, Tymetrix, CaseGlide, etc. – A PLUS

Pay Range:

Market competitive pay. Salary depends upon experience.
