Construction Superintendent

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Commercial/Residential Superintendent. Must be experienced in managing more than one job at a time, up to 10 preferably. Ability to run a schedule for multiple jobs at a time, experienced in sourcing subcontractors quickly - mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.. Agility, ability to move quickly from one job site to another, pivot quickly to multiple schedules at a time.

The Superintendent is the construction management professional responsible for supervising and managing all aspects of construction projects across multiple locations. This role involves travel to various job sites and ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Oversee all phases of construction projects, from planning and pre-construction to completion.

Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring projects are on time and on budget.

Aid in coordinating material/parts ordering through bill creation of quantities and quantities management.

Collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors,

and clients.

Site Supervision:

Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure work is proceeding according to the

plan.

Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and labor on the job site.

Enforce safety protocols and ensure all workers adhere to safety regulations.

Quality Control:

Ensure that the work meets or exceeds quality standards and specifications.

Address and resolve any quality or workmanship issues that arise during construction.

Documentation and Reporting:

Ability to read blueprints.

Maintain detailed project records, including daily reports, progress photos, and change

Orders.

Provide regular progress reports to senior management and clients.

Problem Solving:

Identify and address any issues or challenges that may arise during the construction

process.

Develop and implement solutions to keep projects on track.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in construction and project management, with a focus on

commercial construction.

Strong knowledge of construction techniques, safety protocols, and building codes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

Willingness to travel frequently and work on-site at various locations.

OSHA certification or other relevant safety certifications may be required.
