Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking an Accountant to join a top CPA firm in Nassau County, NY A CPA background would be ideal along with experience within tax, general accounting, auditing, financial statements, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • General accounting duties including but not limited to, A/R, A/P, general ledger, reconciling bank statements, balance sheets, records, budgets
  • Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
  • Prepare and file tax returns
  • Enter accounting related information into business logs
  • Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy
  • Organize and update financial records
  • Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
  • Perform monthly bank settlements
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors
  • Adhere to US GAAP

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience within a CPA firm ideal
  • 2-3+ years proven experience within Accounting
