WSR Grounds LLC. is looking for knowledgeable Landscape Supervisors.

 

Position / Salary: Full Time – Exempt (Salaried)

Salary commensurate with experience

 

Supervisor: Reports to WSR Grounds Director

Direct Reports: Crew Leaders and Crew Members report to the Landscape Supervisor

 

Responsibilities:

• Assists in hiring crew members to create a team to perform specific duties on various projects

  • Oversees training, development, and management of crew team to ensure proper completion of duties

  • Responsible for quality, coordination, and operation of the diverse crew team

  • Provides training and technical assistance in specific project areas

  • Tracks crew team members’ attendance, evaluates performance, and records progress

• Prepares supplies, equipment, and purchases materials as needed

• Responsible for workflow, record keeping on machinery, tools, and vehicle maintenance

• Responsible for completing daily/weekly reports of jobs or tasks and providing them to Grounds Director

• Professional and courteous; ability to work harmoniously with crew clients, and general public

• Oversees safety procedures and monitors the safety performance of crew team members

• Other duties as assigned

• Makes recommendations on budget items to the Grounds Director

• Develops and implements preventative maintenance procedures for assigned areas

• Helps with ordering necessary equipment for budgeted items

• Plan and organize work for self and others to meet schedules and timelines

• Maintains supervision over crew leaders, operation manager, and irrigation supervisor

 

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 2-4 years of supervisor experience in the landscape industry (golf course/ turf management not needed)

• Working knowledge of landscape maintenance and enhancements

• Experience working with Homeowners Associations is a plus

• Experience in preparing and evaluating estimates, proposals

• Experienced in organizing, planning, and setting priorities with minimal supervision

• Ability to establish, train, manage, lead, and motivate relationships across all levels

• Strong interpersonal (written and oral) communication skills

• Preparation of schedules, knowledge of ordering materials, and maintaining inventory

• Recordkeeping of repairs and maintenance of equipment

• Ability to work outdoors in all elements and perform all physical activities required of this position

• Knowledge of North Texas region plants, hardscape, landscape, maintenance, masonry, excavating, grading, and drainage

• Ability to exercise good judgment and strong attention to detail

• Consistent attendance and punctuality

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Valid Driver’s License required
