Your Opportunity:

Haven Management Services is seeking a motivated sales and marketing intern with a passion for sales, marketing, and social media to play an integral role in our organization. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for anyone interested in or pursuing a career in the hotel/hospitality industry with challenging work in a result-driven atmosphere. As a result, the ideal candidate will have gained a broad perspective in various aspects of sales and marketing techniques within the hotel and hospitality industry and will be rewarded with the knowledge to bring to their future career.

Projects Include:

  • Creating hotel print ads and other marketing materials for the sales team to distribute on sales visits.
  • Going to different segments in the market (Medical, Apartments, Outlets, etc) to distribute marketing materials such as Hotel print ads, business cards and vouchers for Spring’s Bistro + Bar and input in the company database.
  • Maintaining the company sales funnel and entering in data such as notes on each segment visit and company/group information.
  • Responsible for collecting company business cards and returning them to the Regional Director of Sales (RDOS) to store in the company database.
  • Attending networking events.
  • Performing a SWOT Analysis of the hotels’ competitive set and leveraging on how we can outperform the comp set through sales, marketing, and social media.
  • Prospecting via Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn and other channels to get potential companies and groups to book with our hotels.
  • Maintaining hotel and company blog.
  • Opportunity to help kickstart a restaurant and new convention center.
  • Create a hotel marketing plan with the Regional Director of Sales.
  • Ad-Hoc projects when they arise.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate seeking a BBA/BS/BA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or Public Relations.
  • Must be motivated, energetic and possess great communication skills.
  • Knowledge in managing social media accounts with a creative approach to gain new followers.
  • Hootsuite, Canva, and Photoshop experience a plus.
  • Powerpoint, Word, and Excel experience.
  • Uploading weekly reports in the company portal.

  • This is an unpaid internship.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Incentives when sales quotas are met.
  • Will count for college credit.
  • Perks include a stocked kitchen with snacks coffee machine, and a smoothie machine.
  • Hotel employee discounts to any IHG branded hotel (Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Hotel Indigo, Crowne Plaza, Intercontinental and more)

*Start date will be Monday, September 9th and will end on Friday, December 6th*

*15-20 hours minimum per week*
