JOB TITLE: Industrial Engineer – Plastic Injection Molding

 

LOCATION: Waukesha County (Eagle, WI)

 

SALARY RANGE: $85-95k

 

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Industrial Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest level of quality in our plastic injection molding operations. In this role, you will utilize your engineering expertise to analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain consistent quality standards.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·        Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.

·        Develop and implement innovative solutions to optimize production workflows, including layout design, work cell organization, and material handling systems.

·        Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop and implement quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.

·        Identify opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs while maintaining product quality and compliance with industry standards.

·        Drive a culture of continuous improvement by leading lean manufacturing initiatives, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.

·        Lead cross-functional teams to execute process improvement projects on schedule and within budget, utilizing project management tools and methodologies.

·        Provide training and support to production staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to operate equipment safely and efficiently.

·        Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and equipment specifications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

·        Stay updated on industry best practices, standards, and regulations related to plastic injection molding.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

·        Demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·        Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.

·        Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field required; mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering preferred.  

·        5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with experience in plastic injection molding being a strong advantage.

·        Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred.
