Alpine Refrigeration located in Newington, CT is looking for a highly motivated Refrigeration Technician who is familiar with mechanical and electrical systems to join our fantastic team

Our ideal candidate would need to have:

  • At least 1 year experience with commercial grade equipment including but not limited to Commercial Refrigeration, Preventative Maintenance on refrigeration equipment, Walk in coolers and freezers, Reach in coolers & Ice Machines.
  • In Depth working knowledge of refrigeration equipment as well as Electrical knowledge.
  • Possess a valid Driver’s license with a great driving record.
  • E.P.A. certification for refrigerant handling class I & II, or universal.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively with little to no supervision.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills.
  • Detailed orientated with a high standard of integrity and reliability.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain refrigeration systems for a group of food service locations.
  • Ability to establish effective regular communications with Site Management to ensure they are kept informed of all ongoing maintenance activities.
  • Maintain all assets for which you have responsibility to the highest standards.
  • Perform refrigeration preventive maintenance checks in a timely manner as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work space.
  • Communicate as needed with retail store location personnel to maintain refrigerated product integrity.
  • Participate in company's "on call" after hours emergency call program.
  • Assist with trouble shooting problems.
  • Act in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
