Our growing company is looking to hire an experienced candidate for the position of a vascular sonographer. We are an outpatient vascular clinic performing arterial and venous studies.

Shift details: PRN Monday-Friday 0800-1700. No nights, holidays, or weekends. No call.

Same day shift pick up earns incentive pay.

Qualifications

  • Completed education required to obtain a license to practice as a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist in the state of employment.
  • Vascular Technologist with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Has one or more years of experience as Vascular Ultrasound Technologist
  • Must have BLS Certifications.
  • Strong organizations and communications skills required.

Physical Requirements

  • Can see objects closely and hear normal sounds with some background noises.
  • Ability to lift and hold objects weighting more than 30 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to concentrate on fine detail with frequent interruption and attends to tasks for long periods of time.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform in accordance with all policies and procedures, applicable statutes and regulations, and the Clinic’s Compliance, Infection Control, and Quality and Performance Improvement Programs.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, and coworkers in a respectful, and considerate manner.
  • Contribute to the progress and development of the Clinic’s Compliance, Infection Control, and Quality and Performance Improvement Programs, as requested.
  • Implement safe and efficient procedure care to ultrasound patients within Kansas City Vascular Institutes' policies and procedures across a variety of populations and complexity of situations within the scope of practice.
  • To perform noninvasive diagnostic vascular studies using ultrasound imaging and non-imaging physiological instrumentation.
  • Recognizes normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology relevant to vascular exams.
  • Demonstrate expertise in vascular ultrasound technologist technical skills, radiological equipment & safety, image- acquisition, transferring and archiving of images, troubleshooting equipment, and use of all imaging equipment utilized in the Clinic.
  • Maintain Ultrasound equipment and perform testing and/or quality control procedures.
  • Review, edit, correct and validate PACS to ensure accurate patient procedure image labeling for ultrasound exams on a daily basis.
  • Systematically and continuously collect, assess and document data in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to provide procedural care for the patient. Documentation of the procedure and medical care during procedure will require basic computer skills to complete EMR.
  • Other duties as assigned, subject to applicable Rules and Regulations in the State of Kanas.
