About Us: CBS Food Program is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the community through participation in programs such as the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), National School Lunch Program (NSLP), and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Our mission is to provide nutritious meals to children and adults in need, ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated individual to fill the full-time role of Backup Driver/Warehouse Assistant. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting with warehouse operations and providing support as a backup driver when needed. This role is crucial in ensuring that our programs run smoothly and that nutritious meals reach those who need them most.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with loading and unloading meals and supplies from delivery vehicles and into storage areas.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
• Safely operate delivery vehicles as a backup driver, transporting meals to designated locations.
• Assist the primary driver with navigation and delivery tasks as needed.
• Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of meals.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Maintain required paperwork related to vehicle inspections, deliveries, and other relevant documentation.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience driving delivery vehicles preferred.
• Familiarity with local roads and routes is a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy loads.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain required paperwork accurately.

Schedule: This is a full-time position with regular hours. The Backup Driver/Warehouse Assistant will work on a set schedule, with occasional flexibility required based on the organization's needs.
