Qualifications:
- Must possess a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health related field such as Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work.
- Must be registered as Licensed or Licensed Eligible from the Virginia Department of Health Professions (DHP).
- Minimum of 1 year of direct clinical experience working with children/adolescents and adults who have been diagnosed with a mental illness.
- Must have a valid Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass all child protective services, criminal history and DMV background checks
- Be a self-starter with good organizational and time management skills
- Must have positive, hopeful and professional attitude
Experience:
- 1 year working with at-risk children and families with a mental health diagnosis (required)
Education:
- Master’s (Required)
License:
- LMHP (Preferred)
- LCSW (Preferred)
- LMHP-R (Required)

Our independent living program has helped hundreds of youth (ages 17-20) throughout Virginia beat the odds against homelessness, joblessness, and incarceration by helping them to transition into adulthood with security, stability, and a strong support system.
