Job Title: Janitor

Summary:

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment at Hampton Premium Meats. This role includes general cleaning duties, minor maintenance tasks, and ensuring all areas are free of hazards.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning and Maintenance:

·         Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.

·         Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.

·         Dust and wipe down surfaces, including windows and mirrors.

·         Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.

·         Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and reporting repairs.

Safety and Compliance:

·         Adhere to health and safety regulations.

·         Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment safely.

·         Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor.

Inventory Management:

·         Monitor and restock cleaning supplies.

·         Maintain an organized storage area for cleaning materials and equipment.

Additional Duties:

·         Assist with setting up or breaking down furniture for events as needed.

·         Respond to emergency cleaning requests promptly.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

·         High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

·         Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is preferred but not required.

·         Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.

·         Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.

·         Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

·         Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

·         Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

·         Ability to work with cleaning chemicals safely.

Working Conditions:

·         Work may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and other hazardous materials.

·         Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
