Job Summary:  

Field Technicians work in new and commercial buildings doing installations, curtain wall insulation, waterproofing, joint sealants, air barriers, fire proofing, fire stopping, expansion joint, and perimeter joints. They will report to the site foreman (temporary role, but not a fulltime position) or the General Foreman or the Superintendent and use knowledge to execute projects to specifications.   

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Installing caulking in expansion, contraction, and control joints in the following: 
  • Interior and exterior masonry 
  • Carpentry door frames to masonry 
  • Windows to masonry 
  • Louvers to masonry 
  • Coping joints 
  • Concrete paving joints 
  • Saw Cuts in concrete 
  • EIFS and Hardcoat stucco joints 
  • Utilize caulking gun 
  • Utilize basic hand tools as needed 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Requirements and Preferred Experience: 

  • Working knowledge of basic tools and materials 
  • Comfortable working at various heights 
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions 
  • 1+ years of commercial construction experience preferred 
  • History of good attendance and reliability 
  • Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively with limited direction and supervision 
  • Working knowledge of commercial construction jobsite safety rules 

Education: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Working extended hours, including evenings and weekends may be required.    

Additional Requirements:  

  • Must be 21 years of age.  
  • Must have a valid driver license.  
  • Must pass drug screen, criminal background check and driver’s license check.
