Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking an experienced HVAC estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems and a proven track record in estimating projects. The HVAC estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for HVAC projects, including new installations, replacements, and retrofits. SCA, OGS, DASNY, JOC, SUNY, projects 

Responsibilities:

  • Review project specifications, drawings, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for HVAC projects.
  • Identify and quantify cost factors, such as materials, labor, and equipment, needed to complete the project.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
  • Prepare and submit bids and proposals for HVAC projects.
  • Maintain and update a database of materials, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary.
  • Assist in the negotiation of contracts with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
