Position Summary:

The Lead Carpenter oversees the timely completion of projects, managing Mid-Level and Entry-Level Carpenters and Trade Specialists. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and collaboration with team members. Working closely with the Project Manager, the Lead Carpenter directs project execution to meet specifications, budget, and schedule, ensuring quality and cost efficiency across diverse remodeling projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute remodeling and construction projects, overseeing subcontractors and crew members.
• Act as on-site liaison, advocating for client needs.
• Collaborate with Design, Sales, and Production teams to ensure project alignment.
• Monitor job costs and workflow to meet quality standards, budget, and schedule.
• Facilitate communication among stakeholders using company processes.
• Manage procurement, delivery, and storage of job-related materials.
• Delegate construction tasks and coordinate subcontractor activities.
• Enforce company and industry safety guidelines.

• Address and resolve production issues.
• Identify and implement production improvements.
• Minimize material runs and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of residential carpentry experience.
• Proficiency in rough and finish carpentry.
• Proven project and team management experience.
• Knowledge of building codes and related trades.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in project management software and related tools.
• A valid New York State driver’s license is required.
