Our company is growing rapidly and is searching for experienced candidates for the position of restaurant server. We appreciate you taking the time to review the list of qualifications and to apply for the position. If you don't fill all of the qualifications, you may still be considered depending on your level of experience.

The position of a server consists of offering and selling cocktails and food to patrons directly.

Tasks:

  • Engage in friendly conversation with guest whenever possible using the provides personalized service and uses guests' name at least twice during all interactions
  • Must effectively delegate service responsibilities to the assisting staff
  • Returns to each assigned table periodically to ascertain whether additional items are desired
  • Completes all established set-ups in a timely manner
  • Set, cleans, and resets tables
  • Constantly cleans and pre-busses table assigned to them during each customers dining experience
  • Responsible for maintaining all establishment service standards
  • Ensure that work areas are clean and sanitary in accordance with city and state health department codes
  • Keeps busy with side work while able to and at all times when not attending to guests
  • Performs "all hands in / all hands out" practice at all times
  • Relays any guest compliments or complaints to management
  • Responsible for providing excellent service
  • Balance cash receipts
  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchasing alcohol
  • Clean and polish glasses, utensils and other equipment
  • Collect money for tables served
  • Able to collect multiple tabs for customers
  • Serve wine by the bottle to guest
  • Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking or ordering transportation for intoxicated patrons.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Highschool diploma
  • Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, to actively look for ways to help people, and to be aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
  • POS previous experience
  • 1-3 years of previous restaurant server experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Must have open availability to work late on weekends and holidays
  • Must posses the legal right to work in the US
