Position: Grinder (Entry Level)

Shift: Nights - 10pm – 10am

Location : Walton Hills

Rate: $15-17 per hour depending on experience (+ .75 shift diff for 3rd) + bonus every 6 months

Position Type: Temp to perm

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Separate/sort plastic sheets
  • Box, label and weigh inventory
  • Follow grinding schedule
  • Load material into grinder and grind into pellet form to be used for reprocessing into sheet form
  • Tear down/break down/clean grinding machine
  • Stage material for upcoming jobs
  • Previous extrusion experience and knowledge of plastic sheet extrusion process a plus.
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Training will include other duties on the production floor to help understand all positions and processes.
  • Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management. Skills and Requirements:
  • Tow motor driving
  • Must be able to read and write
  • Must be able to read a tape measure

Ability to retain information  Must be mechanically inclined  Proficient at basic math.  Must be able to work in a team environment  Able to communicate clearly with co-workers  Able to lift up to 50#  Able to use hand tools such as hammers, circular saw, table saw, band saw and nail gun  Able to multitask and self-organize  Must have worked in a general warehouse setting  Follow written safety procedures  Previous extrusion experience and knowledge of plastic sheet extrusion process a plus.  Regular and punctual attendance WPI Grinder NIGHTS AD 5.22.24.docx - pb Education Requirements
