Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

· Responsible for the design of product throughout the entire development life cycle from design concepts to production within designated timelines and according to pricing strategies.

· Owns and maintains product specs/tech packs – including organized file archiving.

· Reviews and proofs their own work to ensure consistency, quality and accuracy.

· Contributes to refining development, pre-production and production processes.

· Analyze and research market and product trends to prepare for product ideation, line list development, identify white space opportunities and drive innovations. Investigate new substrates and materials and manufacturing processes/techniques in order to provide new and innovative consumer product solutions.

· Assists with preparing presentations when needed. Including comp shop recaps, trend boards, product renderings with benefit/feature highlights, POG/schematic renderings, comp/mock samples.

· Partners with cross-functional teams to ensure product meets Customer needs along with successful production & functionality of product. Including revisions, cost engineering and sample reviews.

· Interaction and communication with Customers to fully understand and support their product development needs

· Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

· Bachelor’s Degree in related field

· 3+ years of experience in Product Design or design related field. Experience with paper party supplies a plus.

· Experience with product packaging a plus. At minimum, should be capable of making appropriate packaging recommendations for product

· Illustration skills a plus to assist with creating design assets & style guides.

· Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Illustrator, PhotoShop, Acrobat and InDesign.

· Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

· Highly creative and trend-forward with strong problem solving skills and high attention to detail.

· Demonstrates the ability to brainstorm and ideate original concepts.

· Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and flexible environment where priorities and deadlines may frequently change.

· Highly organized with strong project/time-management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

· Self-directed and motivated + ability to collaborate with fellow Team Members across multiple Departments.

· Strong understanding of print & production processes and file formats.

· Excellent verbal and communication skills.

· Must be eligible to work in the United States.
